A rare hybrid combining the productivity of oyster with the density of king oyster. Velvety-textured caps with a rich, complex flavour. One of our top yielders.

WX013 is a hybrid between P. ostreatus and P. eryngii, welcomed by many commercial growers. It inherits the prolific fruiting of the oyster parent with the denser, more substantial texture of the king oyster. The result is a mushroom with velvety, thick caps and a more complex, rich flavour than either parent alone. It's been one of our most consistently high-performing strains and produces beautiful top-fruiting clusters. It also happens to be one of our personal favourites at the table.
